Monster Flower Watercolour Workshop II

  • Backhaus Projects 168 Weserstr. Berlin, BE, 12045 Germany (map)

Monster Flowers is what I call my disproportionate and slightly abstract flowers ♡❀ The goal of this workshop is to create a playful connection with watercolor, favoring personal and pictorial expression over notions of “right or wrong”.

Freehand watercolor painting (in medium size!) is challenging as it requires boldness while handling the brush and applying color. Watercolor allows almost no corrections or modifications, one must accept what happens and work with its flow. But if there is no resistance and we learn to play by practicing mindfulness and surrender, the exercise becomes a game, and the result is always wonderful.

In this two-session workshop I invite participants of all levels to enter the world of watercolor step by step, with exercises to warm us up from the most basic concepts until we are ready to paint our own monster flower. Truly No Experience is needed!

Different images of flowers and green leafy plants will be provided as inspiration, but everyone is free to bring an image of their own that they want to work on.

BOOKING Options:

It is possible to book only the first session or sessions I and II together.

In both sessions we will end up painting a monster plant or flower, yet I strongly recommend booking both, because the continuity will help you deepen the practice and therefore your work.
