Tobi Keck and Paul Waak find themselves in an odd scenery. The place is concealed. Isolated and preserved from the outside dust; soaked into vague colors and under construction. Crooked but familiar faces and figures are lurking within paintings and objects, all across the literal membrane. Organic matter is trying to get through the surface, while acrylics keep on hiding on the plastic textures of the room. 

This duo show at Backhaus Projects is a clash and yet a stopover of well known images. A warm but unfinished welcome.
