Our favourite Neukölln arts festival is on again!

This showcase brings together two dynamic artists exploring the boundaries between the real and the imaginary. In dialogue with one another, the artists encourage viewers to question their relationship with the modern world. A diverse selection of mediums will be on show, from acrylic and oil paintings to sculpture and digital displays.

Nicoline's series 'Souls of Nature' captures what the naked eye can't see - the souls and essence of plants and inanimate objects envisioned with the help of digital tools. Exploring theories and beliefs that objects, places and plants all possess a spiritual essence, the work in this series captures the ethereal quality of the everyday. References made with the help of photography and photoshop are replicated by hand as acrylic paintings and installations, thus urging the viewer take a closer look and reconsider what they perceive.

Caterina's art inhabits the continually shifting landscape of her invented planet 'Terrapolis', a speculative reality where the biological, technological and imagined coexist. Rich in detail and poetic intent, her sculptures and digital compositions articulate the flora and fauna of this world. Her works allow the viewer to muse on a world where the environment and the inhabitants co-create and evolve together, inviting reflection on how we imagine and participate in other possible worlds.

Though distinct in aesthetic and method, both artists share an interest in how the invisible, the speculative, and the spiritual can be made manifest. Their collaboration for this exhibition has been shaped by ongoing conversations and mutual curiosity, resulting in new works created in response to each other’s visions. Each evening of the exhibition will be closed by a live music performance.

Two evening of the exhibition will conclude with a live music performance. Classical guitarist Vitor Noah brings a reflective solo set shaped by nuance and depth, while songwriter Mona Rowey offers ethereal soundscapes that blend warmth, memory, and emotion. Together, their performances extend the exhibition’s atmosphere into the realm of sound, guiding audiences through moments of introspection, imagination, and resonance.

Vitor Noah is a Brazilian classical guitarist with an unconventional path - from the stages of a stoner rock band in Brazil to some of Europe’s most prestigious concert halls. Now based in Berlin, Vitor is known for his poetic tone and a repertoire that bridges tradition and innovation. Mona Rowey’s music immerses listeners in an ethereal, angelic soundscape that beautifully evokes a deep sense of nostalgia. Each track delicately captures transient moments, inviting audiences into her evocative world through warm tones and gentle harmonies.
