”Starting July 2nd, my art book "In the Disbanded Eden" will be available (at the event or to order in bookshops). A big thank you to the authors and graphic designers: Pauline Doutreluingne, Julia Jost, Tine Rahel Völcker, Ana Cecilia Breña, Katharina Hetzeneder. Here is a small excerpt from the postscript about the project: Image by image, I draw a world that I'd like to be in. A conglomeration of signs and traces on paper. Each sheet referring to the next image or the next sentence. This way, many of my animations have emerged and finally, this publication. I am building landscapes around me like alternative habitats. It is a personal and fragile utopia of which I tell. Each page is a small window to the landscape in which the body simply exists, unquestioned. In this context, the motif of the wildernis has become an important analogy for me – to an environment that relativizes the critical gaze onto the body. Contrary to the seclusion I talk about and in which I stay while drawing, this publication is a step outwards and communication with an audience, with you. This step is usually not taken lightly, but to me it is the actual reason for producing art. To create a sort of connection.
